In American B-Side collector, DJ and director Joseph Fletcher travels across the American South trawling through thrift stores and finding crazy records – then goes in search of the utterly unique people who made them to give them a second shot at success.
The result is a beautifully poetic film about modern America and the cost of ambition, digging into the eccentric stories of some real musical mavericks (with an appearance from the God of Hellfire, Arthur Brown, now painting houses in Texas).
American B-Side has been a labour of love for several years but we’re now trying to get it finished with help from Kickstarter, and want to reach the people out there who we know would love to be involved with this film. Rewards include everything from a DVD of the film to the chance to own one of the actual vinyl records that began this whole journey.
